30 Days as a Muslim

Look at the video at this link, in which Dave Stacey from West Virginia tries to live for 30 Days like a Muslim would, though he is in fact a small-town, pork-eating, beer-drinking, Christian European American who has never believed anything other than that the Messiah is also Lord and God Almighty. Well, for the first 17 minutes of the film, you see his prejudices and he is not even that good at hiding them. Fact is, he is close-minded, and he is trying to learn and still he cannot get past his own closed mind and cannot get his mind around the idea that Muslims aren’t creating a distinct god to worship aside from him. In his mind, Allah had to be a specifically Arab god that Muslims worship and not the creator of Jesus and everyone else. He expressed no qualams about believing that Jews and Christians worshipped the same deity, but then again the image in the minds of white Christians is of white Jews walking around Mount Sinai with a white Moses awaiting a white Jesus to descend and represent a white God who is loyal to the perspectives of Europeans and European Americans. I credit Dave with a willingness to learn and to tell the truth about what he learned, but it took him 30 days to get where many would get in a week. Part of that problem was he himself. The other part is the apologetic imam who could explain so little and had no kind of testicular fortitude. Props to the Muslim brother who told him towards the end, “We owe no apologies for 9/11 and you owe none for Eric Rudolph. We condemn it, but apologizing means I had something to do with it.”

Now, the biases of most Americans against Islam is evident when they are interviewed in some of the clips. They fought the idea of masajid calling to prayer but then again they supported the idea of church bells. And not one Muslim was shown saying to the disbelievers, “If you’re not Muslim, ignore it! Why is it so important to you that you can’t ignore it? Is your conscience bothering you that much for sleeping through the call to prayer?” And that first Imam needed to be beat down, at about the 12th minute, trying to accommodate Dave and tell him how similar they are without the differences. He had no courage to tell Dave, “Here are the likes AND dislikes between us, to give you an honest and balanced picture of it. Believe what you will.” See, some Muslims were trying more so to impress him that to educate him, and that wasn’t fair to him. And despite this, what did he say in response? He still refused to believe that these darkies could possibly be worshipping the same gods as him. It did not assuage his prejudice and bias at all. It was direct information from some self-respecting Muslims that taught him better.

Muslims, buck up. They will not love us until we apostatize, but they can respect us if we respect ourselves first and stop viewing them from an inferiority complex.

Sexism, Chauvinism, and Feminism

Salam aleikum. Quick note of advice to Muslims about chauvinism and feminism… both of them are from the Shaytan, and one is a reaction to the other. Now, Many Muslims will say that the NOI (they call themselves Nation Of Islam) are racist and therefore not Muslim. We agree they aren’t Muslim, but probably for different reasons. Many Muslims say you can’t hate whites and be Muslim, but they look down on darker peoples themselves. Now, if anyone tried to justify this, most Muslims would merely say “Yeah, but the NOI is an over-reaction to the original wrongs against Black people.” Well, feminism is the same thing, same concept, only between genders and not between races. Now you tell me which one is more dangerous to a society? Two races having to live separately so they can avoid killing each other, or men and women being unable to be together as spouses?

Muslims have no business being chauvinist, feminist, or any other kind of sexist for that matter. The best way to fight back against another Muslim’s ignorance and sexism is to refuse to marry oneself to such a Muslim and then to be very good and kind to a Muslim spouse who avoids such extremes. This should be basic knowledge for us, but I better remind us of this before Shaytan completely wins this fight, too.

New short story; No Forgiveness

Onyx, living in Kuwait as a Muslim, goes to visit his parents back in the US, and confronts not only an enemy from youth he hasn’t forgiven, but also the Christian societal pressure to forgive unconditionally, which he has no obligation to do no matter how the number of years that go by. But his nemesis hasn’t changed deep-down, and he must translate the lesson he learns into a teachable lesson for his students back in Kuwait, who often imitate the failing societies even without intending to. Happiness in the Dunya

Salam aleikum and Ramadan Mubarak.

Siraj Wahhaj seems hard for me to get a read on, but I stumbled upon this speech by him which was quite helpful. He summed up what I have been saying about the life of this world and why he not only have problems, but problems that seemed tailored to irritate us to the maximum.

Allah’s Hurricanes and Man’s Heedlessness

Salam aleikum, Muslims. An early Ramadan Karim to you all!

Yesterday evening, I saw that Gustav was poised to make landfall not tomorrow, but today. Naturally, I worried for my parents. Hamdulillah, they have a safe place to ride it out. But this morning I saw how many had left New Orleans, having learned from Katrina. Even a family fleeing New Orleans for Atlanta died just 20 miles from the destination when the car went off I-20 and crashed into a tree. 6 died, 2 survived. Imagine that! When Allah wants us, we’re gone. Someone who had just arrived at a shelter said to a news crew “Why does this keep happening to New Orleans?” She had just gotten dry from Katrina flooding and now had to evacuate again. Well, that’s what happens when you live in hurricane alley and then become desensitized to what Allah hates, like homosexuality, gambling, and political corruption. These are things for which the area is known. And as we speak, TS Hannah is spinning off of the Bahamas, just became a hurricane, and is expected to come up the Florida and Georgia coasts.

Many kuffar and also many murji wuslims will say that Allah doesn’t send punishments depsite the Bible and Qur’an both saying otherwise. They will swear that Allah doesn’t punish at all. Allah said about them. “And surely, We have created many of the jinn and mankind for Hell. They have hearts with which they do not understand, they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear. They are like cattle, rather they are more astray. It is they who are the heedless.” [Al-A’raf 7:179] Then Allah says in Anbiya, verse 1, “Draws near for mankind their reckoning, while they turn away in heedlessness.” They refuse to wake up and smell the bacon they’re burning until they are dead and taken to task. “And the intoxication of death will come in truth, that is what you were trying to avoid. And the horn will be blown, that is the Day of which warning had been given. And every soul will come forth, with it an angel to drive it and an angel to bear witness. It will be said: Indeed you were in heedlessness of this, now We have removed from you your covering, and sharp is your sight this Day.” [Qaaf 50:19-22] I reiterate my earlier point in order to make baraah from such people no matter what religion they claim; the increase in hurricanes and their damage are definitely punishments from on high. The last time Andrew really mashed up Florida and Louisiana, you had a Bush in office, fighting Muslims. Now you have a Bush in office fighting Muslims even worse than before and you have a series of even worse hurricanes. Coincidence? I don’t think so!
